Notes

Track A: Taken From The Columbia Lp: "Hell Of An Act To Follow" JC 35374
Original mix on the LP is 5:11; the 6:45 remix was available only on this promo 12".

He made his name in Latin Jazz, specifically Afro-Cuban jazz, in the 1960s and '70s, with the timbales becoming his favoured instrument. He met Mongo Santamaria shortly after his arrival in New York and studied with him while acting as his translator..

..This original track is a real proto acid-jazz and not a disco at all, although it shares a common 4-4 beat

Track B: Taken From The Columbia Lp: "You'll Never Know" JC 36122
Publisher: Maicaboorn (BMI)
Both tracks ℗ 1980 CBS Inc.

This product was added to our catalog on Wednesday 23 February, 2011.
