One of the greatest albums of the 90s and just absolutely fanatstic guitar music. Richard Ashcroft's lyrics throughout this album or pure poetry and beautifully poignant. The lyrics on 'Bitter Sweet Symphony' are just superb "It's a bitter sweet symphony that's life, you are a slave to money then you die", absolutely brilliant! 'The Drugs Don't Work' is a perfect song for all those in the later 90s on the big comedown after the wild excesses of the previous years. There's also some incredible musicanship on this album, with a brilliant nod to 60s psychedlia. Urban Hymns is a masterpiece from start to finish and is one of the all time great British Rock albums
