Steppenwolf goes way beyond the standards of excellent rock music. Take a closer look at the band past "Born to be Wild" and "Magic Carpet Ride." Forget those jock-jam hits for half-wits! The real stuff is here. Try out "It's never too late", which exhibits regret and sorrow brilliantly. Also, "Hey lawdy mama" a classic bluesy jam, or "Jupiter's child" an anthem for those who see love where other's don't. This is a taste of Steppenwolf, a band with a monstrous impact on rock and roll. Their songs are replete with eerie imagery and symbolize man's isolation in modern times. Get hold of this album and grab your magic carpet-you're in for a ride!

Heavy metal thunder

Steppenwolf - The Pusherman

Steppenwolf - Rock Me

this song has some of the catchiest lyrics you'll ever hear. it just about sums up life in a nutshell

Steppenwolf - Jupiter's Child

I grew up with this song and other Steppenwolf tunes. Those cloaked horsemen kind of top it off with the astrological references

STEPPENWOLF - Sookie Sookie

I didn't know the Reverend Jesse Jackson was a Steppenwolf fan! Man...he's really cuttin the rug there around 1:54 or so. Great tune!
