Description: A six-LP box set of the recordings of Sonny Boy Williamson II ("Rice" Miller). The recordings are from Chess Records and cover the period from 1955-1964. The box set comes with a 16 pp, LP-six booklet. 10 pp are a biography by Neil Slaven which is illustrated with many photos from the collection of Mike Rowe & Bill Greensmith. A discography by Leslie Fancourt.
The very limited vinyl issue of the 1991 extensive box set by Sonny Boy Williamson titled The Chess Years. Box contains six albums with a total of 85 tracks, also contain beautiful thirteen page booklet with historical notes and photos. Issued on Chess Records Box 1 in authentic high fidelity mono, an original import issue from Italy.

Sonny Boy Williamson was an American blues harmonica player, singer and songwriter, from Mississippi..
He is acknowledged as one of the most charismatic and influential blues musicians, with considerable prowess on the harmonica and highly creative songwriting skills.
He recorded successfully in the 1950s and 1960s, and had a direct influence on later blues and rock performers.
