One of Rush's best albums, and one of their most accesible. It doesn't mean it's a sellout. The music is undeniably Rush, and it has some of their greatest classics EVER.
Tom Sawyer is a great single, one of Rush's biggest hits, and still one of their best songs.
The next one, Red Barchetta, is even better, with some of Peart's most majestic lyrics ever, a great musical track, and a great vocal by Geddy Lee. YYZ is a great instrumental,
Limelight is a wonderful tune,
but the most underrated song here is The Camera Eye. It's a Rush epic (running 11 minutes) and it progresses beautifully, with melancholy lyrics by Peart and another great vocal by Lee.
Lee's voice isn't as histronic as it was when Rush first started out. It's mellowed with age and it's become quite good.
Moving Pictures is a great album, one of Rush's finest works, and one that still resonates.
