The Rolling Stones had so many classic tunes from the early 60's that another Hot Rocks addition was necessary. The Last Time, Not Fade Away, Tell Me, Let It Bleed, Its All Over Now, and She's A Rainbow are the most familiar tunes.
However there are many stunning covers of old R & B tunes like Money, Poison Ivy, I Can't Be Satisfied, and I've Been Loving You Too Long.
Also there are numerous hidden gems like a remix of the spooky Child of the Moon and the soulful Long Long While.
If you don't feel like collecting the individual early Stones recordings, this one is a worthy purchase. Even if you have some early Stones recordings, the rarities make it worth checking out.
The Rolling Stones - LADY JANE
This is a lovely song. Makes me think of a troubadour singing to his lady in Elizabeathan times. Not sure what the instrument is - perhaps a lute? Such elegant and beautiful paintings to compliment the music
The Rolling Stones - LADY JANE ( Rare TV Clip )
Jones was incredible. The guy could play anything..
Rolling Stones - The Last Time (1965)
They were never into pop and although they were friends with the Beatles their early stuff is heavily influenced by blues
The Rolling Stones - It's All Over Now
brian jones actually had an amazing voice, really should have sung more.. Look at 1;46-1;50...Mick's confidence explains his success...Brian should've known a cat like that would steal the spotlight
The Stones - We Love You
Rolling Stones - 2000 Light Years From Home
I think the Stones would have made a really good psychedelic album if they wouldn't have been involved with court cases at the time. This song is amazing ..Brian Jones saved this song from destruction. Without his mellotron it would have sucked
