Manu Dibango - New Bell

Makossa that was a big hit for him in the 70's. There are a ton of cover versions out there of Soul Makossa. The first track on Dibango's Soul Makossa album is a personal favorite of mine, New Bell. New Bell is less disco-sounding than Soul Makossa and sounds more like Fela Kuti, Africa 70 or Tony Allen. It has a strong African rhythm to it with a pace that makes you want to get up and dance.
