Danny Brown goes in over some unearthed J Dilla production, and the results are just as great as you’d expect. “Jay Dee’s Revenge,” the first single from the upcoming, posthumous Dilla album entitled Rebirth of Detroit,

Not unlike the blaxploitation flick that serves as the track’s namesake, Brown seems to channel the spirit of the young, lawless, hustler that starred in his Detroit State of Mind series and The Hybrid. Over unsurprisingly stellar production from the late Detroit deity, Brown reminds us that he’s more than just a funny haircut and missing teeth. He’s a beast.
