It takes a big man to admit that Buck has had a hand in his success. DJ Buck credits luck as a main component in his personal success story ; the other predominant ingredient is talent.
Buck was born in New York in a year that shall remain a mystery. At the age of eleven, he was transplanted to the West Coast and years later, played an instrumental role in the birth of San Francisco's house music scene. As an original member of Third Floor Productions alongside DJ Rasoul and B. McCarthy, Buck helped to build the now thriving infrastructure from the ground up. As an industry veteran, Buck has known Doc Martin, co-owner of L.A. staple Wax Records, for years.
Upon making his transition from Northern to Southern California in 2001, it seemed only natural for him to supply a missing link in the rapidly growing multi-faceted venture that Wax encompasses. Along with Doc Martin, Juan Nuñez, "Little" Chris Pocino and Tony Watson, Buck is representing a group that is attempting to set the standard for quality house music in Los Angeles.
