Having already become a funkateer and being turned out to Parliament/Funkadelic and Bootsy, this was the first P-Funk "spin off" that I collected and from beginning to end this one does not let up for one minute! My favs are "Disco to Go" and "Birdie". "Disco to Go" is truly hot and right up there with "Flashlight" and "Aqua Boogie" as one of the best P-Funk songs ever committed to wax! The bass line on this track (borrowed from "Ahh the Name is Bootsy Baby") is so funky you gotta shake somethin' after it hits! And the horns/drums intro and outro is so hot, George may have had seconds thoughts about cutting this with the Brides and not with Parliament! Birdie is also a funk scorcher and why this track was not released as a single is a mystery to me! The Brides vocals on this track, coupled with George's ad libs are outstanding but it's the last two mins of the song that will set it off on the dancefloor!
Speaking of the Brides vocally I'm still amazed at how Lynn and Dawn's vocals are almost hypnotic, always blending, never contrasting and undeniably funky!

for those who asked who was on drums, it was none other than DENNIS CHAMBERS, he toured with P-Funk from the time he left high school in 78', til 1983... sickening how ridiculous this WHOLE outfit was,,, George Clinton is a genius.. his musical legacy is worth more than any award
