This album is a milestone in instrumental bossa. Up there with Som Tres' "Em Forma" for me. Breno Sauer is the Brazilian master of the vibes and should be ranked alongside Milt Jackson, Roy Ayers or Vince Montana Jr. The interaction between piano and vibraphone is reminiscent of the Modern Jazz Quartet sound of the late 50's, but with that infectious Brazilian groove. Last but not least, drummer Portinho is separate show on his own right. Portinho is a brilliant samba drummer and an unsung hero who lives in USA. Breno Sauer Quarteto - Sambossa Lovely tune.
